Short Songs For Patrons IV Mini-Update
Hey all,
Thought I'd do a quick progress report for you all. I know not everyone gets the monthly updates, so I just wanted to loop you in on the big stuff.
As you know, I finished writing part I of the story for this big project back in July, and immediately starting working on music. I first put all of my energy into creating a nice, memorable main theme song, and finally shared it with patrons in September. Despite its relative simplicity, I spent an incredible amount of time and energy changing, editing, and trying to get it just right! It was among the most work I've ever spend on a single piece of music, but I think it was worth it. It's got a catchy melody and those strings are just so nice!
I've got a bunch of other songs in various stages of progress, but the second one I shared with you all was a little over a week ago. Coincidentally, it's that last track of part one of this three-part super-release!
The songs provide a soundtrack to the story. Patrons are being included in a different way than the previous SSFP projects; instead of having a dedicated track, everyone is being written into the story in some way (street, animal, and other names of things).
Outside of writing and producing the music, I'm preparing for public release, including trying to track down someone to do cover art, new press release material, etc.
That's pretty much it on the SSFPIV stuff. Right now, it's mostly a lot of writing and producing the music.
Thanks for being part of the journey and giving me a reason to create this stuff!
This is the most ambitious project I've ever taken on, so it's not very fast, but I think the results are really going to worth it.
Reach out any time,
Chris
