Happy New Year + Songs + Website

A person playing saxophone into a mic.

Hi all,

Hope you had a great holiday season! I did. I slowed down a bit over Christmas holidays, but still managed to work on a bit of stuff.

Songs

There are now 8/11 songs done from Part I of Clockmaker. There are a couple more complete in the bank, but I think I'm going to save them for Part II, as they ended up in different directions than I was intending for Part I. There's some light at the end of this first tunnel!

I'm trying to track down someone who can mix and master these tracks for a reasonable rate. As they stand, they sound good, musically, but they could use some help in bringing them to life. We'll see. I usually end up doing this myself, but it's an awful lot of work and I'm definitely not a pro mixing/mastering engineer. :)

shortsongs.ca

I made a new website. This is mainly an outlet for me to post some blog-format stuff like Is Art Necessary and Not Gifted, Encouraged, but it also serves as a place for me to link to all my work, social media, etc., all in one happy place and for a lower cost than the third-party I was using before. Not to mention: by hosting it myself, I own all the content and I can completely customize it.

My music stuff is still at shortsongs.ca. That hasn't changed.

That's all the excitement in my world right now. There are technically a couple other things shaking, but they're too early to share anything excited yet. Stay tuned.

As always, be well and reach out any time,

Chris
