Scoring, Coding, Arting
Hi all,
A few things cooking, as always. Here's a quick look.
🎼 SSFPIV/Clockmaker is still my sole focus right now. I've even turned down work to continue working on this humongous project. I think it's worth it.
Music-wise, things are moving along nicely. The songs vary in feel, but focus on a few main melodies, as you'd expect when watching something scored by John Williams, for example, where you hear recurring themes, but - you know - not quite John Williams-level cool.
There'll be another new song posted here for patrons this Wednesday!
💻 When I need a break from working on the score, I move to the story. Even though Part I has been written for some time now, I'm using a semi-obscure programming language (LaTeX anyone?) to lay it out just the way I want it. I'm also learning how to use this programming language, so each new thing I want to do requires a bit of armchair research. Time consuming, but fun.
🎨 Finally, I've just started reaching out to artists to see if anyone can help me out with some artwork to go with this project. I'm secretly hoping for one particular person to be available, but I have a couple backups. 🤞 I really want the artwork to be cool, so this is actually the first time I've ever tried to get some help with basically any project.
I'm aiming to have all of my work for Part I done by the end of 2022, released to patrons as soon as ready, public release Spring 2023.
That's about it for now. Thank you, as always, for your support and interest in all this crazy stuff! I mean it.
Reach out any time,
Chris
