Editing, Planning and Finally Some Music!

An open laptop and a coffee mug

Hi folks,

Just a quick one for you, this month.

Editing

As you may recall from this post, right here, I'm working on the story and music for Short Songs For Patrons IV in parts. Part I of the story is virtually done. I'm just doing a bit of editing, then sending it off to a particular patron (thanks Elias) for proofreading/editing. Then I'm going to start coding it into a book format. Woo! Man, it's taken a long time to even get this far.

Planning

Part of the behind-the-scenes work is planning for public release. The current plan is to have part one, complete with music, in patron hands sometime this fall. Now, I haven't decided yet if I'll also release this publicly in parts or just wait til the whole thing is wrapped up to put it out there. Something else that's on my mind for the public side of things is publicity, getting new photos done, etc. That's still a ways away, but it's on my mind, anyway.

Finally, Some Music!

With Part I of the story wrapping up, I'm finally able to start working on the music side of things. Because this is in parts, I'm aiming to get the first few patron songs done to accompany the first part. I think the bulk of the songs will come with Part II, but not sure how that all looks yet. Either way, I'm glad to finally get into the music of this!

As always, thank you for being part of this journey and please look forward to Part I! Oh, and stay tuned for updates, as always.

Chris
