Work In Progress: Mellotron + Orchestra
This is just something I started working on, but don't really have a home for yet.
It will likely become part of my ongoing project called Lu, which is a soundtrack and work of fiction that I've been working on for the past several months, but right now, it's just a chord progression that got stuck in my head.
Fun side fact, in case you're wondering: a Mellotron is a neat instrument that uses tape loops to replay prerecorded instrument sounds. It was invented and marketed as a kind of orchestra at your fingertips - following the footsteps of organ timbres - but its unique, somewhat artificial sound led to it being it's own kind of sought-after beast.
