Electricloud Recordings: Behind The Scenes Ep 4: Introducing International Saxophone Quartet
In 2012, four young saxophonists attending different post-secondary schools across Canada and the U.S. met online through a saxophone web forum. Staying in touch during their respective studies, after man e-mail messages, exchange of sheet music, and a few skype calls, they met for the first time at the 2014 NASA (North American Saxophone Alliance) conference, at the University of Illinois, in Champagne, IL, where they began to collaborate on composition for quartet. While two of their members are still undergrads, the four find time to write and record, as well as perform across Canada and the U.S.
